The vessel being registered in Canada, Chris began his work by recommending the right people to look after the US custom issues. Throughout the selling process, he remained focused, dedicated, easy to reach and always pleasant to speak to. He also stored some electronic equipment at his office and kept an eye on the vessel by paying regular visits to the boatyard. After finding a good buyer, and with the border being closed (COVID19), Chris handled everything on my behalf, making sure the new owner was satisfied, being present for the survey, taking charge of the paperwork, the cross-border transfer of funds and more. Craig was a huge help when we bought Nemetona (a 2003 Beneteau Oceanis 473). I’ve got years of experience sailing boats in the 30′ range, but this was a big step up for us.
